Socrates and Plato: Whom to Believe?

No definitive conclusion can be drawn out of these two statements:

If we were to believe Plato on his assertion that "Socrates tells nothing but lies," we must consider Socrates' statement "Plato just told truth" untruthful. In other words, we would be assuming that what Plato has just said is not true and should not be believed.

On the other hand, if we were to believe Socrates on his statement "Plato just told truth," then we should accept Plato's assertion that "Socrates tells nothing but lies," an statement that suggests that we should not believe Socrates.
