Which Girl Is He Going To See More Often? Eddie had two girl-friends, Alice and Becky, and he couldn't make up his mind with which of the two he's going to go steady. When Eddie set out to see the girls, he would go by bus. Alice lived in the eastern part of the town, and Becky lived in the western part of the town. There was a bus going east every ten minutes, and there was a bus going west every ten minutes. To save himself the trouble of having to decide which of the two girls he's going to see, Eddie decided that he'd leave it to chance: no matter when he arrived at the bus stop, he'd take the first bus that came. After a few weeks, however, Eddie found that he saw Alice far oftener than he saw Becky. Why? |
